Come to Work Your BA events to explore, learn about options and different paths, and gain ideas, information, inspiration, motivation and advice! Organized by Â鶹ԼĹÄ's Career Planning Service (CaPS) and the Arts Undergraduate Society (AUS).

CaPS and AUS are organizing a buffet of events to feed your career curiosity from the Non Profit/Public Service Fair to career panel discussions to a great roundtable event to help you meet and learn from professionals in a wide variety of fields.

FSWEP – Federal Student Work Experience Program

Come discover what a career at the United Nations / International Civil Aviation Organization might look like, what kind of jobs / internships are available, and what requirements you need to get your foot in the door!

Speaker:

Glenda Newton - Glenda has over 20 years of experience in Human Resource Management, obtained working in; private, public and UN Common System sectors, in numerous global locations. Currently on a secondment to The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) as HR Officer- Gender and Outreach she holds a right of return to her position as, Chief Human Resources Officer at the United Nations Global Service Centre in Italy, expected to return February 2020. Glenda has also held positions within the UN Secretariat, in the Office of Human Resources Management, UNHQ N.Y., including Gender Focal Point and Performance Management Focal Point.

Glenda holds a Master’s of Science in Human Resources Management as well as a BA in Science & Human Affairs and a BA in Human Environment Relations (minor Biology), additionally, she is a Senior Certified Professional with the Society for Human Resources Management (SCP-SHRM).

Glenda has a passion for leadership development around gender and has influenced change in and outside of the work environment.

Federal Government Career and Networking Trip

In Collaboration with Alumni, CaPS, SSMU & PGSS:

Interested in exploring career opportunities within the federal government? Please join us for our 6th annual federal government career tour, where you will have the opportunity to hear about career paths in the public sector, and network with hiring managers. This will be an exclusive opportunity to network with government officials. Special emphasis will be placed on public service renewal and the programs geared towards student employment. To be eligible to participate you must be a current PGSS or SSMU student.

Note that a maximum of 40 seats are available (20 undergraduate students and 20 graduate students).
