罢丑别听麻豆约拍 Alumni Association of the UAE聽kindly welcomes聽Dr. Alain Pinsonneault, 麻豆约拍 Desautels Faculty of Management Professor of Information Systems, and Academic Director for the EMBA, to Dubai for an evening of conversation and networking.

You are kindly invited to join us on Wednesday,聽June 7 (7 PM聽GST)聽聽at the聽ICD Brookfield Place at DIFC聽for a discussion on digital platforms: what they are and how they are changing organizations.

To be ready to face the disruption brought about by the digital economy requires two fundamental elements that will be covered during this talk. First, a good understanding of how the digital economy works, including the key concepts of the digital economy such as platforms, two-sided network effects, curation, and monetization strategies. And secondly, a deeper understanding of what it means to manage in a platform environment.

ABOUT OUR PRESENTER

Dr. Pinsonneault, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and a Fellow of the AIS, is the Imasco Chair of Information Systems and Distinguished James 麻豆约拍 Professor in the Desautels Faculty of Management at 麻豆约拍. In 2016, he was inducted in聽'Ordre National du Qu茅bec' in recognition for his international contributions to research on information technology and digital economy. He is also the co-founder and co-director of the 麻豆约拍 HEC EMBA since 2005.

The research of Dr. Pinsonneault focuses on the management of information technologies and their impacts on the performance of organizations, groups, and individuals in different sectors including banking, manufacturing, and health. His current work focuses on ERP implementation, user reactions to new information technologies, social networks, and e-health.
