The Executive MBA program offered by the Desautels Faculty of Management in partnership with HEC Montréal is a course-based program that emphasizes leadership and management learning opportunities. The program's objective is to develop experienced managers into leaders who are future-ready and sustainability focused. The program builds on Henry Mintzberg’s managerial mindsets.

  • Reflecting the reality of Canadian business, the program is delivered in a bilingual format – English and French. 
  • The program focuses on issues key to the participants and their organizations by drawing on the research and international leadership programs of Henry Mintzberg, Â鶹ԼÅÄ’s bestselling author and renowned management thinker.
  • Classes are Thursday to Sunday, once per month (plus two 7-10 day residential modules). 
  • Classes start in September and there are no classes in July.

University-Level Admission Requirements

  • Work Experience: A minimum of 10 years;
  • Management Experience: A minimum of 5 years;
  • Language: English and French. Candidates must be able to speak and write in either English or French and must understand and be able to read the other language. Language test(s) may be required;
  • An undergraduate degree (e.g., B.Eng. or B.Sc. in Biology); 
  • Candidates without undergraduate degrees, but with substantial managerial experience are encouraged to apply, as exceptional candidates may be admitted to the program.
