My name is Iris Guo, and I am currently a second-year student in Anatomy and Cell Biology. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for contributing to the Faculty of Science Scholarship fund, and I am very honoured to be a recipient of this award. Coming from high school, I decided to not let this drastic change in environment falter me in any way, so I worked extremely hard to maintain my academic excellence. Since I have always strived towards success, I was overjoyed to have my efforts recognized. I will be applying this fund towards my tuition at Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ, which I am sure will motivate me to continue my studies and to achieve greater results in the future.
As a student in the Anatomy and Cell Biology program, my end goal is to ultimately go to medical school and become a specialized doctor. I truly enjoy learning about the human body, and I often try to relate the concepts I learn in class to the real world. Ultimately, I wish to apply this information in the future in more practical terms in hopes of helping others recover from their illnesses. My program not only prepares me with the knowledge needed to succeed in medical school, but it also gives me much freedom to explore other areas of studies by taking electives. For example, I am currently enrolled in a pedagogical research project course, which exposes me to many skills, such as communication, data collection, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and much more. From this experience, I have met so many wonderful people who are extremely passionate about their work, which in turn motivates me to work hard towards my dreams.
