MUHL 376 Music Colonialism in Global History (3 credits)

Overview

Music History and Literature : The use of critical theories about β€œEmpire” to situate music practices in imperial histories, and the examination of interactional dynamics between colonizers, colonized peoples, and other agents. The emphasis is on highlighting the plural and diverse voices of those who engage with this art form, as well as on decolonial initiatives.
