Information for patients

The Mobile Dental Clinic works with community groups and agencies on the island of Montreal to provide free dental care and to promote oral health education to vulnerable populations. The mobile clinics provide basic dental care to over 300 patients per year.

The clinic is run by Â鶹ԼÅÄ dental medicine students, volunteer dentists, and support staff. Through partnerships with local community groups and agencies, the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Oral Health Sciences can go to community locations and set up a dental clinic composed of 15 chairs throughout the academic year.

The clinic is made possible entirely through philanthropic support from donors and fundraising events. Visit the to support our Mobile Dental Clinic.Ìý

Becoming a Patient

In order to become a patient, you need to contact one of the partner agencies listed below and be referred by them.

People with private dental insurance, receiving social assistance, or have dental care covered by Medicare (RAMQ) are not eligible for our mobile clinic. Most patients who receive social assistance can obtain basic dental care in a private dental office at no cost. Please note that depending on when and where you apply, it could take as long as one year to become a patient.

If you are not accepted by one of our agencies, we invite you to apply to become a patient of theÌýUndergraduate Teaching Clinic.
