Graduate supervision and teaching are the backbones of graduate student success.Β Β Every year, Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies receives nominations for the Carrie M. Derick Award for Graduate Supervision and Teaching and the David Thomson Award for Graduate Supervision and Teaching. These awards acknowledge outstanding contributions to promoting graduate student excellence through supervision and teaching by a faculty member at Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ.Β The award selection committees are given the difficult task of choose only one awardee for each award; however, all of the nominees demonstrate inspiring approaches to graduate supervision. Β

The David Thomson Award recognizes faculty who have been supervising for 10 years of more

Supervision Snapshots recognizes the important contributions recent nominees and winners make to graduate studies at Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ, shares best practices with the wider Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ community.Β Please note that the Supervision Snapshots dateΒ back only to 2016. In the case where nominees were entered in more than one year, they appear on the website only in the most recent year.
