Alan Evans, PhD, is the Director of the (MCIN), a research and informatics team at the Montreal Neurological Institute-Hospital (The Neuro). He is also a James ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Professor in Neurology and Neurosurgery, the Victor Dahdaleh Chair in Neurosciences, and a world-renowned authority on brain mapping through the use of imaging technologies. He is among and the 2015 Chair-Elect of the Organization for Human Brain Mapping.

He is currently Co-Director of both the for Neuroinformatics and Mental Health and the Helmholtz International BigBrain Analytics Learning Laboratory (). He is Scientific Director of ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ’s β€œHealthy Brains, Healthy Lives” (), and Scientific Director of the Canadian Open Neuroscience Platform (). The technical infrastructure underpinning CONP includes a multi-modal databasing system ( and an international grid-processing portal (), both developed in Prof. Evan’sΜύ lab. These platforms also support international brain networks, notably the and the , both co-chaired by Prof. Evans. Furthermore, he was named the Victor Dahdaleh Chair in Neurosciences in October of 2022.
