Heart disease in women- a focus on special populations.Ìý

Our objective is to increase awareness and knowledge about heart disease in women amongst healthcare professionals such as general practitioners, general Internists, cardiologists, nurse practitioners, nurses, trainees, allied health professional.

Overall Learning Objective for the Activity:

To understand presentation of the heart disease risks in special populations of women

Preliminary Program Sessions:

  • Counselling and caring for women with congenital and acquired heart disease
  • Addressing women’s heart health in immigrant women- a family affair
  • Heart disease and risk factors in Indigenous women- how are we doing and what can we do better?
  • Obesity in women over the lifespan
  • Sex specific adaptive clinical trials
