Authentication and network access

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ students, faculty and staff

Computer workstations

  • are used to log in to Library computers.
  • This gives access to software, hardware, and electronic resources
  • (P: drive for students or R: drive for staff)

Wireless Network

The Libraries are part of the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ , allowing Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ students and staff who own laptops and other devices to connect to the Internet.

eduroam

Students and faculty from other educational institutions may be able to useΜύ to access the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ wireless network.

Eduroam is an authentication service allowing users from participating educational institutions to securely access the wireless network of any eduroam-enabled institution by using the same credentials they would use at their home institution.

You can use eduroamΜύfrom any wifi-enabled device while visitingΜύΒι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ, by logging in to theΜύeduroamΜύnetwork with validΜύcredentials. For more information on eduroam and on getting access to it,Μύsee: .

Guest network accounts

Note: eduroam and guest network accounts only provide access to Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's wireless network, and do not provide access to Library e-resources.

Visitors to the Libraries

Each library location has a dedicated cluster of computers for guest access that are identifiable by a yellow sticker on the monitor. AnyoneΜύcan log in these computer workstations using the username and password listed on the login screen.Μύ

Logging in to a library computer as a guest will provide access to most of theΜύ, the internet and selected softwareΜύat the Libraries. Certain online resources may be restricted by faculty, for example, Law, or by location,Μύand may requireΜύadditional authentication.
